Install and debug equipment in Colombia

          On April 8th, our engineers Mr. Wang and Mr. Li took off from Beijing and transferred to Qatar, crossing the vast Atlantic Ocean. After more than 30 hours of flight, they finally arrived in Colombia, South America. It was a rainy night when they first arrived, just got off the plane and feel a little cool. Colombia on the equator has an altitude of 2000 meters and an average annual temperature of around 24 degrees, which is far less hot than expected. Even at noon, under the scorching sun, the sensation is only comparable to the summer in Dalian. The people speak Spanish, and most people who speak English also have accents. Fortunately, translation software is very convenient nowadays, and language does not pose too many obstacles.

         

          They start to work officially on Monday, and this customer ordered a TLJ 400 copper extrusion machine with three sizes of tooling and equipped with saw cutting equipment. They found the installation progress was surprising. The workers are very professional, not only did the equipment accurately position itself, but also prepare water, electricity, oil connection. It saves one week of their work.  After simple adjustments and power on debugging, the machine quickly began trial production. However, the raw material storage environment is really bad. Colombia is rainy and has no winter all year round. The workshop and warehouses are well ventilated on all sides, and the raw copper rods are totally oxidized. And the biggest problem is that they cannot buy the diameter 20mm rod that are standard for the TLJ 400 copper extrusion machine, they can only get diameter 19mm rod. Although it is equipped with 19mm tooling, it is difficult to fill the edges of the standard mold when making ultra wide products. They have no choice but to ask our technical engineer to redesign the die drawing. Fortunately, after a month of adjustment, all products were able to meet the customer's requirements and their work was successfully completed.

         

           Before having our continuous extrusion machine, they had only one set of horizontal extruder and one set of drawing machine. The production efficiency of horizontal extruder is about 300-400 kg/h, with a waste rate of up to 20%, and needs 3 to 5 operators; The automation level of the drawing machine is lower, requiring 6 to 7 operator for that production line. Our TLJ 400 copper continuous extrusion machine can already reach 1000-1200 kg/h with the waste rate of less than 5% and significantly reduced number of operators. Our customers have highly praised our machine and are very satisfied.
